Water Risk Measurement and Management

We work at the intersection of water technology, water policy, water finance, water strategy and deep climate change adaptation.

Climate change is accelerating the rate at which water availability and quality fluctuate – which presents new risks for businesses, communities and governments that today’s water monitoring infrastructure and data collection efforts are not designed to address.

We specialize in assisting clients identify their exposure to emerging water risks and in implementing solutions for managing those risks.  We work across industries in areas ranging from agriculture, supply chains, insurance, finance, public policy, municipal water, water quality, social justice and environmental conservation.

We believe that 21st century water risks can only be overcome with the development and deployment of a public weather-service for water, designed to identify and disseminate everything we can learn about the water risks we face.  We work to make this a reality through our policy work, the technologies we develop & deploy, and our advocacy work.

Collectively, members of our team have worked with: UNICEF, the UN, the US State Department, the USDA, the USGS, the EPA, the California State Water Resources Control Board, California GovOpps, DARPA, NASA, Disney, the MIT Media Lab, Microsoft, Nokia, Sarnoff, RCA Labs, Comcast, the India Today Group, the Congressional Research Service, the California Energy Commission, and every major water NGO on earth.
